As they continue to bolster the squad for the future, Bayern Munich announced contract extensions for three key players. Lena Lotzen, Viktoria Schnaderbeck, and Vanessa Bürki have agreed to new contracts that will keep them in Munich through the end of the 2017-18 season.

"Lena, Viki, and Vanessa are crucial to FC Bayern's foundation and will continue to play important roles here in the future," manager Karin Danner said.

All three players have been with Bayern in some capacity for some time with the 22 year old Lotzen having joined the club in 2010. Schnaderbeck joined in 2007, while Bürki has been in Munich since the start of the 2006-07 season.

While they were knocked out of the DFB Pokal and UEFA Champions League, Bayern are closer than ever to clinching their second consecutive Frauen Bundesliga title. With four matches remaining in the season, Bayern have a nine point lead over second place Wolfsburg.
