Bayern Munich fans can rejoice a little more today with news that three injured players are returning to the training pitch at Säbener Straße with the busy end of the season approaching. One will be back shortly, while the other two are still further away.
Kingsley Coman sat out Saturday's victory over Stuttgart with a slight knock but was back doing individualized training on Sunday. While his absence against Stuttgart was only a "precautionary measure", muscular injuries are nothing for Bayern to ignore at this point in the season. However, it does appear that Coman will be joining the team on their trip to Lisbon.
Jerome Boateng also joined Coman in an individual training session with the ball, but the big centerback won't be ready in time for the second leg against Benfica in the UEFA Champions League. Boateng is still on target for his return in the next few weeks.
In other important news, Arjen Robben ran on the field for the first time this weekend since injuring his adductor back in March. It hasn't been the fastest recovery process for Robben, but Bayern can afford to let him recover with Douglas Costa, Franck Ribery, and Coman available. Not to mention Mario Götze and Thomas Müller who can also be thrown out wide.
