With the international break coming up soon, four Bayern Munich Frauen players have been called up to the Germany squad for their upcoming Euro 2017 qualifiers. With only four matches remaining, Germany can officially qualify four the tournament at the end of the break.
Melanie Leupolz returns to the Germany squad where she will join teammates Melanie Behringer, Sara Däbritz, and Leonie Maier. Leupolz was forced to miss the last international break and SheBelieves Cup due to a minor injury.
"The first leg in Croatia alone showed us what can happen when we don't approach a task fully focused," manager Silvia Neid said. "We were able to win in Zagreb, but we certainly didn't make it easy on ourselves. I expect my team to head into every game with passion and commitment - that's what we intend to do for these two games."
Germany are five points ahead of second place Croatia. They will play aginst Turkey in Istanbul on April 8 before hosting Croatia in Osnabrück on April 12.
