Five points separate first and second place in the Bundesliga, and this weekend those two teams take to the field at Signal Iduna Park. Bayern Munich could stretch their lead out to as much as eight points, or the three-time defending champions could see Borussia Dortmund cut their lead to only two.

The match features the top three goalscorers in the league and four-of-the-top-five assist men. Bayern's ability to bend-but-not-break against the speed of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will play a big part in determining who walks away with three points. As good as Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been this season for BVB, Aubameyang remains the most dangerous weapon in Thomas Tuchel's arsenal. Oh, yeah, Marco Reus still exists and can crush your spirits with a single kick.

Bayern will be throwing world class players like Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Müller at BVB, but all of the focus will be on the Bayern defense. It's very possible that Pep Guardiola will a back line featuring Philipp Lahm, Medhi Benatia, Joshua Kimmich, and David Alaba. While Kimmich has shown flashes of brilliance filling in at centerback, he's also shown a propensity to make mental errors commonplace from a 21 year old.

In the first game this season between the two teams, Bayern absolutely dominated Dortmund to the tune of a 5-1 victory at the Allianz Arena. If Bayern can replicate that feat in Dortmund, it will certainly allay some fears that some Bayern supporters are currently feeling.

Once the lineups are released, this thread will be updated.
