Bayern Munich Frauen wraps up victory over Freiburg in the second half

The title holders move a step closer towards another title triumph with a 0-3 victory away at Freiburg, to cement their lead atop the Frauen-Bundesliga.

The Bavarian side left it for the second half to wrap up the victory with goals from Melanie Behringer, who was featuring for the 250th time in the top-flight, Vivianne Miedema and Sara Dabritz gave FCB Frauen all three points. However, Freiburg proved to be a tough side to beat with Laura Benkarth confirming her status as a talented goalkeeper.

FCB Frauen broke the deadlock, when veteran midfielder Melanie Behringer, prevailed from a poor mistake from the home side's back line and with a stunning shot, she put Bayern ahead. This goal seemed a hard blow for Freiburg as they were struggling to cope with all the pressure put on by the away side, who were able to double the lead with Vivianne Miedema who with all her composure, netted neatly past Benkarth. Late in the match, Sara Dabritz extended the lead to wrap up the victory for the reigning champions.

FCB Frauen can be confirmed champions already next week if results go their way.
