Spain and Italy are getting together in Udine for a friendly as part of both sides preparation for this summer's European Championship. As a Bayern Munich, Spain will be the team to keep your eyes on as Thiago Alcantara takes the field, once again, for his national team.
Knee injuries have decimated the last few seasons of Thiago's career, but it finally appears as though he's beginning to put all of that behind him. What was to be a seamless transition from the Xavi led midfield to the Thiago show, has seen the Bayern midfielder receive only six senior caps to date.
The Spanish landed in a group at Euro 2016 in France with Croatia, Turkey, and Czech Republic. While it's expected that Spain will come out of that group, their catastrophic implosion in Brazil at the 2014 World Cup showed that the once mighty La Furia Roja are human after all.
