Bayern Munich Frauen outclass USV Jena

FCB Frauen cemented their lead atop the Frauen-Bundesliga with a five-star performance over USV Jena. Five goals from Melanie Behringer, Nicole Rolser and a hattrick from Vivianne Miedema sealed a 5-1 victory for the Bavarian side.

Bayern Munich Frauen registered their 14th victory of the season and are now leading the table with 44 points, 12 points distant from second place VfL Wolfsburg who leapfrogged FFC Frankfurt after beating them 3-1 on Sunday's fixture.

The home side started the match brightly and after two minutes they were already in front through Vivianne Miedema after netting in from a Gina Lewandowski's cross. On the 10th minute, Melanie Behringer doubled the lead after converting from a penalty while Miedema grabbed her second personal goal of the match on the 23rd minute when she headed home from a corner.

A couple of minutes later, the away side reduced the score after netting in from a loose ball following a corner. In the second half, FCB Frauen restored their three goal advantage when Nicole Rolser prevailed from a defender's miskick to list down her name on the score sheet.

Miedema sealed her personal hattrick from another corner to wrap up the victory for the leaders.
