Bayern II beat SV Schalding-Heining 2-0 to move into 4th place

Bayern II move into 4th place with a win over Schalding-Heining.

A 2-0 home win on Friday, March 11th vs 16th placed SV Schalding-Heinging saw Bayern II move into fourth place in the Regional Liga Bayern, 3 points behind third placed Nürnberg II, and 9 points behind SV Wacker Burghausen with 10 games left to play.

Patrick Weihrauch kicked off the scoring in the 26th minute after receiving a pass from defender Phillipp Steinhart on the left side of the box. After a few body fakes and step overs, he slotted the ball underneath the Schalding-Heining goalkeeper for the 1-0 lead. It was his 11th goal in 20 games, which leads the team. In the 43rd minute, a give and go between Milos Pantovic and Sebastian Bösel found the former open in front of the keeper from about six yards out. Pantovic left the keeper no chance, chipping him to raise the score to 2-0.

Weihrauch had a chance to raise the lead to three goals late when Daniel Hägler played him in behind the defense for a one vs one with the opposing goalie. He was, however, only able to hit the post on an off balance shot after rounding the goalie.

Looking ahead in the schedule, Die Kleinen Bayern have a game on March 24th, when they travel to Memmingen to take on the FC Memmingen Amateure, a team they beat 2-0 in the Hinrunde.
