Spain manager Vincente Del Bosque has named his squad for the country's upcoming friendlies against Italy and Romania. Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara will return to the Spain squad.
Injuries have derailed Thiago's Spanish career even more than it has his Bayern career. He'll be 25 in one month and only has six caps to his name. If he remain healthy for any significant period of time, he can truly be the transformational midfielder that Spain needs.
Looking the squad, one would assume that Javi Martinez would be a lock to make it if he wasn't injured.
Spain will play in Italy on March 24, before traveling to Romania for a match on March 27.
