When you're a massive club like Bayern Munich, you don't normally dip into the winter transfer market for a player. However, when you do, it's either a promising young player or an emergency situation. The loan of Serdar Tasci from Spartak Moscow was certainly the latter.
With Jerome Boateng and Javi Martinez joining Medhi Benatia on the injury list, Bayern reached out to Russia to bring the former Stuttgart player back to the Bundesliga. In his first training session with Bayern, Tasci suffered a concussion. After being out of action during Bayern's trip to Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, Tasci has returned to training on Sunday. He took part in the team tactical training before completing an individual session.
Bayern's next three matches are the Pokal match against VfL Bochum, before two league matches against Augsburg and Darmstadt. These are all that remains between now and the match against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League. Expect Tasci to get a run out in at least one of those matches as preparation in case he's needed against the Italian champions.
