Bayern Munich return to the Champions League with Wednesday's match in Turin against Juventus. The four time reigning Serie A champions will be targeting a trip back to the UCL Final where last season they were defeated by Barcelona. However, a Bayern team set on lifting the big trophy once against stand in their way.
While Bayern are coming off of a 3-1 victory over Darmstadt at the weekend, Juventus dropped points in a scoreless draw against Bologna. Juve's lead in Serie A is down to just one point over second place Napoli, so they have more to immediately worry about than Bayern on the domestic front. Bayern currently have an eight point lead over Borussia Dortmund.
Juventus may have advanced to the Final last season, but the Bianconeri haven't won the competition since the 1995-96 season! They're thirsty for success and will push the Bavarians to their limit ahead of a return leg in Munich in three weeks.
Once the lineups are released, this thread will be updated.
