When Thomas Müller is on, he's unstoppable

Tip Of The Cap: Joshua Kimmich. Again, Joshua Kimmich was immense for Bayern Munich. While this is definitely an award heaped on him for the level of execution given expectation, he's solidly providing Bayern with stability and deep playmaking. He's proving reliability in a position where this team have zero reliability and that's massive for them right now.

Golf Clap: Thiago Alcantara. With Arturo Vidal occupied with shielding Bayern Munich's makeshift backline, Thiago showed up with one of his rare performances where he took the game by the scruff of the neck and forced Bayern Munich forward. With the team opting for a deeper, more conservative approach, Thiago's passing showed up big as time and again his balls from deep found their ways to the fleet feet of Bayern Munich's wingers.

Standing Ovation: Robert Lewandowski. A brace of excellent goals to go with solid movement off the ball to occupy and shred the Augsburg centerbacks? This was yet another in a long line of great performances from Robert Lewandowski in the last 4 weeks.

Meister Of The Match: Thomas Müller. Tonight was Thomas Müller of old. Drifting wide left and wide right, pushing up into positions behind advanced fullbacks and centerbacks, this was Thomas Müller using everyone element of guile that makes him such a joy to watch. Leading Bayern's counterattacking and finding those seams that allowed Costa, Robben, and Lewandowski to flourish was his task all game and he excelled. That he could top it off with a great assist for Lewandowski's beautiful first goal and then earn his own goal thunderous goal in the second half was just the icing on the cake of his performance today.

Jersey Swap: Raul Bobadilla. The Paraguayan striker is a monster. He's physical, tough, technically skillful and was a nightmare all game for both David Alaba and Joshua Kimmich. Both Bayern centerbacks did well to contain him, but his sublime goal in the 86th minute showed exactly what he can do with a little time and space.
