Thiago Alcantara played a perfect ball through the Augsburg defense into the path of Lewandowski. The forward didn't have to take a single touch before shooting past Marwin Hitz to give Bayern the 2-0 lead.
Lewandowski's 21st goal moves him into first place in the golden boot race ahead of Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Since returning from the winter break, Bayern have played five matches total in the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal. In those matches, the club has scored nine goals. Lewandowski has nabbed eight of those nine goals, with Thiago grabbing the other.
To say that Lewandowski is "in form" right now is an understatement. At the moment, there may not be a better player in the entire world.
