Bayern Munich draw Arsenal in the Champions League last 16

For the fourth time in five years, Bayern Munich will face Arsenal in the Champions League. The two teams will meet in the Last 16 for the third time in that span.

Arsenal beat out Paris Saint-Germain to win Group A in the group stage. They are currently second in the Premier League after completing a comeback win over Stoke City over the weekend.

Bayern last faced Arsenal in the group stage of the last Champions League. Each team won their home fixture, Arsenal winning 2-0 in London and Bayern winning 5-1 in Munich. Bayern ended up the group winners after winning all their games against Olympiakos and Dinamo Zagreb.

Bayern advanced past Arsenal in the last two times the two teams have met in the last 16. But Bayern got to play the second leg at home on both occasions. This time the tables will be turned with Arsenal, the group winners, traveling to Munich in the first leg and Bayern, the group runner-up, traveling to London in the second leg.
