It only took fourteen matches to do it, but Thomas Müller has the unthinkable: He has finally scored a Bundesliga goal in the 2016-17 season.
Wait. Seriously?
Yes, while he has banged in a few in other competitions, Müller hadn’t managed to find the back of the net in the Bundesliga. As the match against Wolfsburg ticked away, it didn’t appear that he was going to find that goal in this one either.
Then, Müller scored a Müller Goal.
11 different Bayern players scored in the #Bundesliga this season before Thomas Müller. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ https://t.co/X22R7H9N3K

Arjen Robben’s scuffed shot ended up right at the foot of Müller. A simple turn and deflect was all it took for the ball to end up in the back of the net and start a classic Müller celebration.
It’s been an interesting season so far for Müller, as Ancelotti has worked to find the best formation for the team. However, his current selection of a 4-2-3-1 has pushed Müller back into the center of the park and closer to Robert Lewandowski and the action.
