Carlo Ancelotti is taking no chances with falling behind in the Bundesliga title race. After getting a much needed morale win against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, Bayern Munich are in dire need of points against Vfl Wolfsburg. Despite their win against Mainz last weekend, they’ve had a rougher run of results in the Bundesliga that have seen them fall three points behind RB Leipzig with a host of teams three points off their tail.
The starting lineup is almost an A+ lineup.

Carlo Ancelotti seems to have finally given up his quest to utilize Thomas Müller as his do-everything winger/support striker hybrid and is giving Müller the space to do what he does best. With the likes of Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery, and Arturo Vidal filling in the space around him, you can probably bet on Thomas Müller breaking his duck against Wolfsburg today.
Look to see how conservative David Alaba is in that centerback role. He was remarkably restrained in the win over Atletico Madrid but whether that discipline is part of the gameplan against the struggling Wolfsburg should go a long way to answering whether Ancelotti will ever utilize Alaba in some of the bizarre ways Pep Guardiola did.
