Bayern Munich at UEFA Women’s Euro 2017

The groups are set for next summer in the Netherlands.

The groups for UEFA Women’s UEFA 2017 were announced today in the Netherlands, and Bayern Munich will play a big part in the festivities. The potential exists that up to fifteen Bayern players will represent their national teams in the competition.

Since rebranding the tournament as the UEFA European Women’s Championship before the 1991 edition, Germany have lifted the trophy in an astonishing seven out of eight times. This includes the last six Championships.

Here’s a projected list of Bayern Munich players that could be taking part in Euro 2017 next summer.

Austria: Viktoria Schnaderbeck, Carina Wenninger, Manuela Zinsberger

Germany: Sara Däbritz, Verena Faißt, Simone Laudehr, Melanie Leupolz, Lena Lotzen, Leonie Maier

Netherlands: Vivianne Miedema, Stefanie van der Gragt

Norway: Nora Holstad

Scotland: Lisa Evans

Switzerland: Caroline Abbe, Vanessa Bürki
