Arturo Vidal has been called up by Chile for two big upcoming World Cup Qualifiers down in South America. Chile trail both Colombia and Uruguay, and they can make a big dent in their standings with victories.
Unquestionably the leader of his nation, Vidal has a lot riding on him for these two matches. Chile were given a boost a few weeks ago when Bolivia were forced to forfeit a draw against Chile for fielding an ineligible player. Still, Halfway completed with qualifying, Chile haven’t been as good as they should be.
Chile are in the playoff spot in the table, where they are, remarkably, tied with Argentina. If qualifying ended now, Argentina would not be in Russia for the World Cup. Paraguay is in 7th place and are only one point back. South America World Cup Qualifying is intense.
Chile will play Colombia in Barranquilla on November 10 and Uruguay in Santiago on November 15.
