Kingsley Coman has been called back into the France squad for upcoming matches against Sweden and Ivory Coast. Like most European teams, the first match is a World Cup Qualifier, and the second match is a friendly.
It’s tight at the top of Group A in UEFA World Cup Qualifying. France and Sweden are tied with seven points. A win by Coman and France this week gives them a three point cushion on top of the group.
Didier Deschamps is a little spoiled for choice with attacking players in this France squad. He can choose from Coman, Olivier Giroud, Ousmane Dembele, Kevin Gameiro, and Antoine Griezmann.
Coman hasn’t been at his best this season for Bayern Munich, but he looked good against Hoffenheim over the weekend in the final match before the break. If he can translate that form over to the national team, he’ll get minutes.
France will play Sweden in Saint-Denis on November 11 and Ivory Coast in Lens on November 15.
