Five Bayern Munich players have been called up to Germany’s squad for an upcoming World Cup Qualifier against San Marino and friendly against Italy. This includes the always fabulous Joshua Kimmich, Thomas Müller, Mats Hummels, Jerome Boateng, and Manuel Neuer.
However, we now know that Boateng won’t be taking part in the matches after suffering a knee and adductor injury against Hoffenheim. It’s likely that Jogi Löw will slide either Shkodran Mustafi or Benedikt Höwedes next to Mats Hummels in the central defense.
Kimmich will probably be deployed at the right back position. With the way that Germany plays, this allows Kimmich to get forward and get involved in the attack. Germany could put up a really big number against San Marino in this qualifier.
Former Bayern players Mario Götze, Mario Gomez, and Toni Kroos were also called into the squad.
Germany will play San Marino in Serravalle on November 11 and Italy in Milan on November 15.
