Thiago Alcantara will join Spain for two upcoming matches during the international break. The first is a World Cup Qualifier against Macedonia, and the final match is a friendly against England.
The attacking midfielder has been in fine form for Bayern this season, making an impact on both sides of the ball in a busy midfield. As he’s become more comfortable in Carlo Ancelotti’s system, Thiago looks like the indispensable player that Bayern supporters thought he could become. And, at least for now, it appears that the injury problems are behind him.
The qualifying group will certainly come down to the wire with Spain and Italy fighting over the top spot. They’re currently tied on points and, with Italy taking on Lichtenstein during the break, both should come out of the break with ten points.
Spain will face Macedonia in Grenada on November 12 and England in London on November 15.
