Bayern Munich stars Robert Lewandowski and Manuel Neuer have been named to The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2016 shortlist. This list is different from the previously announced Ballon d’Or nominees.
Obviously, everyone expects the award to go to either Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, or Neymar. The three are the favorites for every award ever, and other players are rarely even considered for the awards.
Neuer and Lewandowski aren’t the only ones up for awards. Former Bayern manager Pep Guardiola is up for best men’s manager. Thomas Wörle is nominated for best women’s manager. Sara Däbritz and Melanie Behringer are up for best women’s player.
The winners will be announced on January 9, 2017 at The Best FIFA Football Awards show.
