Bayern Munich haven’t won any of their previous three matches in all competitions. This includes a draw against Hoffenheim and losses against Borussia Dortmund and FC Rostov. It’s not even December yet, but is it time to say this is a “crisis”?
Carlo Ancelotti stubbornly refuses to switch away from his 4-3-3 formation, even when the players available for selection don’t fit. Most of the gripes from fans comes from the Italian’s insistence that Thomas Müller can play wide right in this formation. It’s been very clear to date that this is not something Müller can do. Change is needed.
With Bayern getting closer to having their full compliment of wingers available, it’s likely that Müller will find his only option to score goals as a second half substitute. That is, of course, unless Ancelotti decides to change up his trusted formation, which doesn’t appear to be a thing that’s going to happen any time soon.
We asked three of our writers to predict what lineup Ancelotti will play against Leverkusen.
