The Champions League returns this week, and it’s time for Bayern Munich to travel to Russia. With temperatures not expected to get above freezing, it’s going to be quite the cold match on the field against FC Rostov.

With two matches remaining in the group, Bayern can take solace in the fact that they are already through to the next round. However, with two matches remaining, Bayern still have an opportunity win the group.

The first match against Rostov was a 5-0 drubbing in the Russian’s first ever Champions League appearance. Since that match, Rostov has drawn PSV and played two matches against Atletico Madrid in which they lost by one goal in both contests. They’ve proven that they can hang with one of Europe’s elite teams.

With the match being in Russia, Bayern have the opportunity to put some pressure on Atletico Madrid before their match later in the day against PSV Eindhoven. A Bayern victory means that they will be tied, once again, on points with Atleti. The final group stage match will see Bayern host Atleti at the Allianz Arena.

Prediction: 1-0 Win. Bayern are missing a few key players in this matchj

Bayern Munich injuries and suspensions: Kingsley Coman (knee), Javi Martinez (groin), Arjen Robben (muscle problems), Arturo Vidal (thigh), Manuel Neuer (calf)
