On paper, there’s really no debate that Bayern Munich have the better backline than Borussia Dortmund. David Alaba, Jerome Boateng, Mats Hummels and Philipp Lahm make up what should be one of the best defenses in the entire world.
So, of course, it makes sense that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a goal inside the six yard box without anyone close to him.

Mario Götze’s hard shot-cum-cross was poked past a diving Manuel Neuer by Aubameyang to give Dortmund the 1-0 lead. You can see on that replay that no Bayern defenders are even close to Aubameyang who has an easy tap-in.
Dortmund’s press is causing Bayern problems in the midfield and defense, similar to the DFL Supercup match back in August. The difference here being that Bayern didn’t concede before scoring the first goal just before the hour mark.
There’s some work to do to get this game back in the good column for Bayern.
