Bayern Munich midfielder Kingsley Coman has been ruled out for the rest of the year after tests revealed that the Frenchman has suffered an LCL tear in his knee and a capsular tear in his ankle. Bayern Munich released a statement on Friday:
"The Bayern winger has torn a ligament in his knee and sustained a capsular tear in his left ankle."
Earlier this week Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti said that the club will not let him return to Juve.
"Kingsley is staying at Bayern. We are counting on him. There is absolutely no way that he will return to Juventus," Ancelotti told Tuttosport. (translation via goal.com)
Meanwhile, Javi Martinez will resume training next Monday, the club confirmed on their site. The 28-year-old, who hasn’t played since pulling up a thigh muscle against Augsburg, could be available for Der Klassiker, also known as the German Clasico against Borussia Dortmund on November 19th.
