A trip to the Netherlands is in the cards for Bayern Munich on Tuesday when they take on PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Champions League. With the final group stage match in Munich against Atletico Madrid, Bayern need to secure victories in the other two remaining matches before getting there.
Arjen Robben is making his return to PSV after playing for the club from 2000-02. The Dutch attacker recently received his return call-up to the Netherlands national team and will be set on showing the home fans that he still has “it” as he’s shown Bayern fans all season.
With a fairly big match coming this weekend against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga before the international break, it’ll be interesting to see what kind of rotation Carlo Ancelotti has in mind for PSV. It’s likely that we’ll see the return of Thomas Müller to the lineup and potentially a start for Kingsley Coman.
Get ready, Bayern fans. The Champions League is back.
