There’s a shocking omission.

The 30 man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or was released, and four Bayern Munich players made the list. However, there was a big omission from the list, and that would be the world’s best centerback: Jerome Boateng.

Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller, Manuel Neuer, and Arturo Vidal headline the list alongside some other players you may know. Of course, Spanish clubs Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid lead the way with thirteen nominations between them.

Three Germans made the list with Toni Kroos joining Müller and Neuer. The only other Bundesliga player to make the list is Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The awards ceremony will take place in December.
