Carlo Ancelotti is going to try to take down Borussia Mönchengladbach without several key players in the lineup. The Bayern Munich coach has decided to rotate four key players out of his squad in order to give them some rest ahead of a DFB Pokal match against Augsburg.

The biggest one is, quite frankly, taking goal scoring machine Joshua Kimmich out of the starting lineup. Kimmich, along with Jerome Boateng and Thomas Müller, are being rested against Gladbach.

In their place, Ancelotti is bringing in Javi Martinez at centerback, putting Arturo Vidal back in the midfield, and letting Douglas Costa go from the start up top.

Philipp Lahm does not even make the bench for Bayern today. Rafinha starts in his place, and Kimmich or Boateng are the likely backups.
