Two of the biggest names in German soccer will grace the field at the Allianz Arena on Saturday when Bayern Munich host Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Bayern haven’t won in the Bundesliga since September 24, and Gladbach aren’t a going to be an easy out. They had a good performance midweek in the Champions League (To be fair, it was against just Celtic.) and will be focused on grabbing points in Munich.
If Bayern were to lose against Gladbach, both RB Leipzig and FC Köln could pass them in the table. Hertha Berlin could also pull level with the Bavarians on points. There’s no such thing as a “must win match” in October, but losing this would be a very bad look.
It’s going to be an interesting two week span for Bayern from October 19 through November first: PSV Eindhoven, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Augsburg, at Augsburg, at PSV Eindhoven.
Enjoy the early morning Bundesliga matches before Bayern takes on Gladbach.
