Jerome Boateng has been suspended for Bayern Munich's next friendly match after being sent off in the match against Karlsruher SC. Bayern Munich confirmed that information today via Twitter.
Boateng was sent off in the 73rd minute of FC Bayern's loss to Karlsruher. The centerback's feet became tangled with a Karlsruher attacker, who drew the penalty. Boateng was shown the red card for his reckless play. KSC converted the penalty to beat Bayern 2-1 in their only friendly of the winterpause.
Following his red card in Karlsruhe, the DFB have suspended @JB17Official from #FCBayern's next friendly match.

Bayern's next friendly will likely be in the summer. After a busy Euro 2016 (victory?), Boateng will deserve a rest anyway.
Friday, Bayern Munich return to the field in the Bundesliga for the first match of the Rückrunde when they take on Hamburg at the Imtech Arena.
