Rafinha a doubt for Bayern Munich's trip to Hamburg

Bayern confirm that Rafinha suffered a serious knee contusion during yesterday's game against Karlsruhe.

The friendly in Karlsruhe for Bayern Munich ended not only with a defeat (Highlights), but also with a knee injury to make things worse. Rafinha, who entered at the start of the 2nd half, had to leave the game in the 66th minute.

After being examined on Sunday, Rafinha sustained a knee contusion and will be out of action for the next few days, Bayern confirmed via Twitter.

Rafinha has made 14 league appearances for Bayern this season serving primarily as the backup for club captain Philipp Lahm.

The second half of the Bundesliga (The league of the World Champions) returns this Friday with a bang as Hamburg host Bayern. During the Hinrunde, FC Bayern hammered Hamburg to the tune of a 5-0 score.
