Tom Starke is the only Bayern Munich player with a contract expiring at the end of the current season. If he gets his way, he'll be sticking around FCB for at least one more season.
The veteran told Kicker that, if he gets his way, he has "one more year" left in him, and he'd prefer to spend that at Bayern. However, he is open to listening to any "interesting" offers.
With the task of backing up Manuel Neuer, Starke joined Bayern in the summer of 2012. However, after serving as the primary backup for his first two seasons in Munich, Starke has been relegated to the number three goalkeeper in the last two. Bayern brought in Pepe Reina last season and Sven Ulreich this season to be the chief backup to the world's greatest goalkeeper.
Starke is also planning on staying in the game and becoming a coach after he retires from playing. In fact, he's already been working as the goalkeeping coach for FC Bayern's U-14 team.
How does Coach Starke sound?
