Bayern Munich have announced that they will honor Dante before the club's match with Wolfsburg on Tuesday. The Brazilian played three seasons for FC Bayern before leaving at the beginning of this season to join Die Wölfe. Bayern honored Claudio Pizarro earlier this year in similar fashion.
Dante will fondly look back on his time with FC Bayern. "The feeling of ‘we are who we are' will be with me forever," he said, and he knows he has a challenge ahead of him at Wolfsburg.
In his three seasons at the Bayern, Dante managed to win eight trophies including the Bundesliga three times, the DFB Pokal twice, the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, and the UEFA Supercup. He made 133 appearances in Bavarian red and scored five goals.
As is customary in Munich, Dante will be given a large bouquet of flowers and thanked for his service to FC Bayern.
