Bayern Munich have yet to kick a all in anger in the month of September, and it appears as though they've lost another player to injury. Mario Götze will miss the Bundesliga match against Augsburg and the Champions League match against Olympiacos midweek due to a muscle injury, according to Sportbild.
Unfortunately, not much more information is known at this time, as the club has yet to release any information on the situation. Götze missing time is a big blow for a club already without Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben. Pep Guardiola will have his work cut out for him shifting players around to find the right combination.
One of the "most obvious" options is to start both David Alaba and Juan Bernat, playing one of them in the more advanced role. Both players have the ability to get forward in the attack while providing a little more defensive cover along the left hand side.
This could also mean that we see the debut of new man Kingsley Coman sooner rather than later.
The club has confirmed that a muscle injury will keep Götze from playing against Augsburg. He's unlikely to play against Olympiacos.
