Are you ready for the rematch of the 2013-14 UEFA Champions League semifinals? BayCern Munich. Real Madrid. Two of the most dominant and powerful teams in Europe square off in the cup of cups... The 2015 Audi Cup.
Oh? This is just a friendly tournament that Bayern Munich hosts once every other year? Oh. Shucks.
Madrid advance to the final after disposing of Tottenham Hotspur in Tuesday's opener. They're gearing up for a big season under new coach Rafa Benitez where they'll try to reclaim their throne from triple winning FC Barcelona. They'll be without Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema who didn't make the trip to Munich, but the Bavarians will still have their hands full with James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale. The two wingers notched Madrid's two goals against Spurs.
FC Bayern rolled over AC Milan in Tuesday's nightcap. Juan Bernat, Mario Götze, and Robert Lewandowski got on the score sheet for the Bavarians. Lewandowski's goal, in particular, was quite the impressive shot. With Lewandowski and Thomas Müller coming on as second half substitutes, one should expect the two of them to enter the starting lineup against Real alongside Mr. Arjen Robben.
The opening game features Milan and Tottenham in the battle for third place.
Once the lineups are released, this thread will be updated.
