The Frauen Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich will face FC Twente in the first round of the 2015/16 UEFA Champions League. Cup champions Wolfsburg meanwhile have to face Serbian club Spartak Subotica, while former Champions League winners FFC Frankfurt have to face BeNe League champions Standard Liege.
Twente finished second in the BeNe League last season to Standard Liege, and qualified for the UEFA Champions League as the highest-finishing dutch club. With the discontinuation of the BeNe League, Twente will be representing the reformed seven-club Women's Eredivisie.
Bayern qualified outright after winning the Frauen Bundesliga for the first time last season. FC Twente breezed through three rounds of qualification, outscoring their opponents 19-0.
The two legs will take place on October 7/8 and October 14/15. Bayern have a relatively light domestic schedule during the two legs, having to play Werder Bremen, USV Jena, and SC Freiburg. Twente meanwhile has to face Eredivisie heavyweights Ajax and PSV Eindhoven over that same period.
Bayern has yet to play an official match this season, winning all three of their friendlies against Essen, Paris Saint-Germain, and Olympique Lyon. They start their Bundesliga campaign on August 28 against Turbine Potsdam.
