Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Everton target a transfer for Dante

Is the Brazilian on his way out?

The talk about Dante's future began during Pep Guardiola's first season. Bayern Munich's high defensive line combined with Dante's lack of foot speed meant that the Brazilian was being exposed more and more often to quick counterattacks with which he struggled to contend.

While everyone was so busy speculating on where Dante would be going after leaving Bayern, nobody really seemed to nail down which clubs were interested in him. Bild has some details today on three clubs in particular pursuing centerback. According to Bild+, Dante is being pursued by Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Everton.

Bayern have reportedly set his price tag at €9 million. If Bayern can get that amount for Dante, that would mean that the soon-to-be 32 year old has seen his value double during his three seasons in Munich. He is currently under contract through 2017.

The only issue with selling Dante at this moment remains the inability of Holger Badstuber and Javi Martinez to stay healthy for any significant period of time. Dante is currently the number three centerback behind Jerome Boateng and Mehdi Benatia. Do you risk selling him now and having something go wrong with Badstuber and Martinez?
