In preparation for their return to the UEFA Champions League, Bayern Munich spent the last week in Switzerland as part of the 2015 Valais Women's Cup. The other three clubs participating in the tournament were Olympique Lyon, Paris Saint-Germain, and FC Zurich.

All four clubs are seeded in this season's UCL, so this is top level competition for FCB Frauen ahead of the campaign. FCB Frauen needed penalties to Paris Saint-Germain in the opening match of the competition. In the other semifinal, Lyon smashed Zurich to the tune of 9-3.

While Lyon had the run of play in the Final, it was Bayern that capitalized on their opportunities.Attacking on the counter, Vivianne Miedema scored a goal and created another to help seal the victory against the two time UCL winners.
