Bayern Munich II and 1860 Munich II were scheduled to play the first Amateure-Derby of the Regionalliga Bayern season on July 26. However, at the request of Bayern, 1860 agreed to reschedule the match for one week later on August 2.
What's the reason for the rescheduling?
Bayern Munich will be going on a tour of China this summer, and the club will be returning to Munich after their final friendly on July 23 in Guanghzou against Guanghzou Evergrande. As per usual over the last two summers, Pep Guardiola is expected to bring a couple of young FC Bayern reserves along with the first team to China.
The club fears that those players will be late returning to Munich, and they asked 1860 if they could reschedule the match for a week later. According to Bayern's Wolfgang Dremmler, 1860 immediately agreed to the move and both sides are looking forward to an exciting derby match.
