Last summer, Bayern Munich went on a tour of the United States. This summer, the Audi Summer Tour takes FC Bayern to China for three friendlies. Beijing plays host to FC Bayern in the first of these friendlies as they take on La Liga side Valencia.
The match is a replay of the 2001 Champions League Final in which Bayern won on penalties. That Bayern team featured many great Bayern legends like Oliver Kahn, Willy Sagnol, Stefan Effenberg, Sammy Kuffour, Mehmet Scholl, and Giovane Elber.
Speaking of Sammy Kuffour, have you seen the video of him going crazy when Bayern beat Dortmund to win the Champions League in 2013? It's one of the best videos on the Internet.
Bayern finished last in the Telekom Cup last weekend and will be looking to turn their fortunes around and impress their fans in China. Pep Guardiola will have a closer-to-full squad at his disposal against Valencia. However, Bayern will still be without Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben.
This match will also be Juan Bernat's first match against his old team. The left back came up through Valencia's academy and made his professional debut at age 17. Bernat made the move to FC Bayern last summer.
Once the lineups are released, this thread will be updated.
