It's starting to look very likely that Arturo Vidal will be joining Bayern Munich. News broke yesterday that Bayern and Juventus were already in talks for the midfielder, and the completed details are starting to be revealed. Bayern were offering €30m, while Juventus were holding out for €40m.
The new numbers have Bayern paying €37m plus €3m in incentives. As with most "incentives" in contracts, they are generally linked to appearances and/or Champions League advancement. It can be expected that Bayern will end up paying the full €40m for Vidal when those incentives are most assuredly met.
Di Marzio says that Vidal will be arriving in Munich on Monday or Tuesday to take his medical and then the transfer will be finalized.
Bayern left today for their trip to China. Of course, many reporters were in the airport to see off FCB, and one decided it would be a good time to question Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge about the Vidal transfer.
Reporter: "Is it very likely that Vidal comes?"
Rummenigge: "Yes!"
