Bayern Munich draw FC Nöttingen in the First Round of the DFB-Pokal

In the first round of the 2015/16 DFB-Pokal, Bayern Munich will travel to FC Nöttingen. The two have never played each other in any competition.

FC Nöttingen earned a spot in the German cup by winning the Baden Regional Cup. They were able to avoid relegation from the Regionalliga Südwest despite getting just one point in their last five matches. Established in 1957, Nöttingen have only appeared in the DFB-Pokal two other times, losing 0-2 to Schalke 04 in 2013 and 1-6 to Hannover in 2012.

Bayern have not lost in the first round of the DFB-Pokal since 1995, when they lost to TSV Vestenburgsgreuth 1-0. They have only lost twice in the first round in their history, the other loss coming to TSV Weinheim in 1990.

There is no word on where the match will be played, for Nöttigen's Panoramastadion is too small to host a DFB-Pokal event. In their previous two appearances in the DFB-Pokal, Nöttigen used Stuttgarter Kicker's Stadion an der Kreuzeiche and Karlsruhe's Wildparkstadion. The first round will take place between August 7-10.
