With the U19 European Championships just a little less than two months away, it's time for the final tune ups for the Germany youth setup. Head coach Marcus Sorg has called in two Bayern Munich youth prospects to fill his ranks with Gianluca Gaudino and Marko Hingerl reporting for a 30-man youth training camp that will take place at the beginning of June.

Also on the list is former youth product (who Bayern retain a modest buy-back clause on) Raif Husic who currently bounces between the Werder Bremen's reserve side and the senior team. Sinan Kurt was also named to the squad but as part of the on-call list meaning he may appear if an injury derails a player on the team.

Gianluca Gaudino is easily the most deserving players of this callup with 11 senior team appearances for Bayern Munich to go along with 12 appearances for the Bayern Munich U19 team this season. For a player who did not feature in the German youth setup until this season, it's a deserving reward at the tail end of his explosion onto the big stage.

Marco Hingerl while appearing for the Bayern U19 team 28 times this season notched 7 goals and 3 assists over nearly 2400 minutes, and is likely a future Bayern II player. The duo have 11 youth caps between them for the U19 program. Sinan Kurt's exclusion comes as little odd as he's been a youth national team mainstay since the age of 14. However to note on that, he was not called in for any of the U19 Euro qualifiers in the last calendar year and has only appeared in international friendlies despite 20 appearances for the Bayern U19 program and a senior team cameo, so perhaps it's not odd at all.

The U19 Euros will take place from July 6th through the 19th in Greece. The group draw will take place on June 9th.
