The Bayern Munich Frauen have wasted no time in preparing for next season. On Thursday, they announced the signing of Scottish international Lisa Evans, who currently plays for Turbine Potsdam. She will join the team this summer and has been signed through 2018.

Evans is a forward and will be competing for time with Vivianne Miedema, Katie Stengel, Mana Iwabuchi, and Lena Lotzen, who recently returned from a leg injury. Evans will no doubt make an immediate impact and will help the squad greatly if there is a Champions League campaign next season.

Here is Bayern Munich's official press release about the signing:

FC Bayern has signed Scottish international Lisa Catherine Evans (22). The forward will move to Bayern from Turbine Potsdam for the upcoming season, with the three-year contract running through 2018.

Evans previously played for Glasgow City FC where she scored  46 goals in 39 games, and 7 in 41 games for current club Turbine Potsdam. The Scottish international has also scored 10 goals in her 37 caps since her debut for the national team in 2011.

Thomas Wörle: "Lisa is an exceptionally fast and flexible offensive player. She’s shown impressive skill in providing assists over the past few years at Turbine Potsdam. I’m glad she’ll be playing at FC Bayern Munich next season."

Lisa Catherine Evans: "I’m very much looking forward to the new challenge at FC Bayern Munich. The development of this team as well as coach Thomas Wörle’s philosophy have impressed and convinced me. I’d like to use this opportunity and take the next step in my development as a player. Turbine Potsdam gave me the chance to gain a foothold in the Bundesliga and establish myself as well as continue to develop as a player, for which I am thankful."
