After being subbed on in the 67th minute, it looked as if Arjen Robben was finally back and the collective fan base for Bayern Munich could finally breathe a sigh of relief. It was not to be as Robben needed to be subbed off after less than 20 minutes after apparently re-injuring his abdominal tear. Robben was driving towards the ball near the midfield when he inexplicably collapsed to the ground in a heap and had trouble getting up. After trying to play through it briefly, it became clear that he could no longer continue as Mario Götze was substituted in his place.
The extent of the injury is not yet known, so full panic mode should be activated just yet, but the manner in which he fell coupled with his previous injury certainly does not look promising. Tough sight to see for him as he was in the form of his life. With this recent injury it looks as if Robben's season just might be over. With a big home and away series against FC Barcelona, this is going to put all the more pressure on the rest of Bayern's attackers to pick up the slack.
