Manuel Neuer last played against Porto seven years ago when he was still wearing the shirt of FC Schalke. Facing an onslaught of offense from FC Porto, Neuer denied them at every opportunity. Then, in the penalty shootout, Neuer stopped two of the three shots that he faced to lead Schalke into the quarterfinals for the first time ever. "I was still a very young keeper at the time. That was my first season in the Champions-League. Fortunately, I had a glorious day where everything went right," Neuer told FCBayern.de, "unfortunately we were then knocked out by Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona side."
