Bayern Munich and Borussia Mönchengladbach is always one of the highlights of the Bundesliga. With a history stretching back four decades to a time when the two teams locked horns for both domestic and European dominance, their ties always carry a little extra oomph.

With both coaches capable of fielding nearly injury free squads, this clash will surely be one that the Bundesliga deserves to determine who is worthy of earning Champions League berths for next season.

In their last meeting at Borussia Park in October, die Fohlen showed up an injury ravaged Bayern Munich while Cristoph Kramer played a game fit to go down in the annals of Bundesliga history as he ran literal circles around the entire Bayern Munich midfield. Repeating that kind of performance will be extremely difficult for Kramer and thus it will likely be a much more difficult affair this time around for 'Gladbach. Toss in the fact that this is on Bayern's home ground and suddenly Gladbach's chances don't look good,

For Pep Guardiola, having three defensive midfield options in Xabi Alonso, Bastian Schweinsteiger, and Philipp Lahm capable of logging significant minutes will be a factor. How he utilizes each of them in their first collectively available game will go a ways towards elucidating how the Spanish maestro plans on lining up this team for the final run of the Rückrunde.

Once the lineups are released, this thread will be updated.
