Javier Martinez was back in action today as he resumed on the ball training at Bayern Munich. The Spanish midfielder has been out of action since sustaining a horrendouse ACL tear last August in the DFL SuperCup against Borussia Dortmund. Martinez had previously moved from the trainer's room to the practice field in late February and now has taken the next step on his way back to being a crucial part of this Bayern Munich team.

This is yet another massive boost for Bayern Munich as within the last two weeks they have already seen the returns of Philipp Lahm and Thiago Alcantara to team practice (and to the pitch in the case of Philipp Lahm). With Javi now ball training, it could be a matter of weeks before the dominating defensive midfielder is able to join his cohorts, presenting Bayern Munich with a fully fit squad for the first time since what feels like the dawn of man.
Look out Europe, Bayern's only getting better right now.
