Both were nominated for Goal of the Week after their great goals against Werder Bremen.

Thomas Müller and David Alaba were both nominated for Bundesliga Matchday 25 Goal of the Week for their great strikes against Werder Bremen. They're joined by Schalke's Leroy Sane, Bayer Leverkusen's Karim Bellarabi, and Mainz's Shinji Okazaki.

Without Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery against Werder, Bayern Munich needed a big match up front from Müller, and he stepped up and produced. His first half goal was stunning. It can only be described as Arjen Robben-esque. Müller hit a left footed curler that found it's way into the far corner to give FC Bayern the lead over Werder.

Alaba scored another fantastic free kick for Bayern to give them a 2-0 lead over Werder. The goal is just another fantastic set piece from Alaba. The Austrian is really coming into his own as one of the best free kick takers in the game.

Sane snagged a first half equalizer for Schalke on his first start for the Royal Blues in the Bundesliga. With a strong run up the left flank into the penalty area, Sane used a deft touch to lift the ball over Thomas Kraft. The goal was fantastic, and building upon his Champions League goal against Real Madrid, caps a fantastic week for the 19 year old.

With a run through the Stuttgart backline spinning the defender like a top, Bellarabi notched his tenth goal of the season. The goal was Leverkusen's third of the day nd helped them along the way in their dominating victory over Stuttgart.

Okazaki scored his tenth goal of the season to help Mainz beat Augsburg. While his first touch wasn't perfect, he finished the half volley perfectly. The win moves Mainz six points clear of the relegation zone with nine matches left.
